Rome Surroundings
The Villa d'Este in Tivoli is one of the most enchanting places of the late Renaissance and is listed in UNESCO sites. It was commissioned by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, who aspired to become pope, being the son of Lucrezia Borgia and grandson of Pope Alexander VI. Failing this, he dedicated himself to the creation of the most beautiful Italian Garden with its wonderful fountains, breathtaking waterfalls and centuries-old trees. An exceptional place to immerse yourself in the sumptuous lifestyle of the rich noble families during the Renaissance.
